I have  years of experience as a copy editor, both in German and English:
 

• 1984-87, Assistant editor of Amerikastudien/American Studies, the journal of the German Association for American Studies.

Responsible for acquiring manuscripts, proofreading, editing and assigning book reviews.
 
 
• 1993-1994, Copy editor in the German textbook division of Holt, Rinehart&Winston.

Worked on developing three levels of German high school textbooks and ancillary materials. Position included writing, proofreading, organizing illustrations, and dealing with copyright questions. Assisted in development of German-language educational videos aimed at high-school and college students
